Week of - 2019.11.25

This week is a short week and so consequently I will only get to see our kiddos for 2 and a half days.

Several kids have echoed the same thing that they will miss not being able to learn some math for a whole 5 days too....

The struggle is real but I am confident that all of us will be able to hold up until next week and have a strong start to the month of December to finish off 2019 strong.

Week of - 2019.11.18 - Grade 7

This week students of the magnificent 7th grade will begin using their knowledge of integers, rational numbers and several properties to solve 2 step algebraic equations. Our magnificent 7th graders have been showing great grit in working through what can seem like learning a foreign language.

But I am sure that they will rock it out this week on their assessment to demonstrate that they have grasped the learning objectives for this week.

Students also have their classwork assignments (from Khan Academy )to complete and submit via google classroom that is due by Wednesday (2019/11/20).

Week of - 2019.11.18 - Grade 6

This week the spectacular 6th graders are completing their examination of the coordinate plane. Knowing that every coordinate pair must lead to only ONE point on the coordinate plane and being able to identify which quadrant a point would be located based off of only the coordinate pair, blew some students minds.

But after gathering themselves they realized the logic and have been crushing it in class and demonstrating their grasp of the coordinate plane and I look forward to seeing the proof of their comprehension on this weeks assessment.

Students also have their classwork assignments (from Khan Academy )to complete and submit via google classroom that is due by Wednesday (2019/11/20).

Week of - 2019.11.18 - Grade 5

This week our amazing 5th graders will be finishing up the third unit of the year. They will be completing their exploration of multiplication in regards to multiplying 3 by 3 digits!!

They have been demonstrating a lot of grit and I can't wait to see how well they do and how bright they shine on this week assessment.

This week we will continue with our investigation of integers, we will continue multiplying and dividing whole integers and we will begin to delve into certain properties such as the distributive property.
